Leaned something new in each section of the workshop, the first workshop I can say that about - Terry Fode, Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre

I completed the training courses Grammar Essentials and Writing for Clarity. Without a doubt, these two courses comprised the best training I’ve received in my 33 years with the Corporation of the City of Thunder Bay.

In many cases, when I’ve taken in-house training in the past, I’d usually start watching the clock at 9:05 a.m. and begin counting the minutes till the next break. However, in this case, the instructor, Jane Watson, managed to keep me fully engaged and focused the entire time. In fact, the hours seemed to fly by as I experienced one “Eureka!” moment after another.

Jane paced her delivery perfectly. Her method of presentation was entertaining as well as informative. The training was substantive; there was no “fluff” or “filler” in any of the materials presented. She allowed plenty of time for questions and answers. The handouts were visually pleasing, informative, and distilled to the bare essentials. At the end of the day, I took away relevant knowledge and practical skills I can apply to my business writing as well as to other forms of writing I do outside the workplace.

I highly recommend these courses to anyone who’s prepared to open his or her mind to learning a superior method of business communication. R.M. Smith – Corporation of the City of Thunder Bay
